Explanation
個人蔵の須弥山世界を描いたパラバイ（折り畳み写本）。中央の太い柱が須弥山、その左右に7本ずつ描かれた柱は、須弥山を取り囲む7つの山脈、七金山を表現している。山頂付近の左右に白と赤の円があり、向かって左側の白い円にはウサギ、右側の赤い円には孔雀が描かれ、前者は月、後者は太陽を表す。上部の宮殿は須弥山の山頂にある三十三天（忉利天）を描いている。(JT)

『ビルマの仏塔』pl.97／バラバイに描かれた須弥山の図／パラバイに描かれた須弥山。須弥山は世界の中心にそびえる山とされる。頂上は帝釈天が支配する忉利天、その下は須弥山を支える5層の世界で、下から順に、龍王、迦?羅（ガルーダ）、甕型鬼（クンバンダ）、夜叉、四天王が支配する世界を表す。この山の中腹を日月（孔雀は太陽、兎は月を表す）が回転するという。左右の傾斜のある7本の柱は七金山を表す。
