仏足跡（ティンガヤーザー（No.1051））
Explanation
バガンの南部、宿泊施設や飲食店などが並ぶニューバガンの北西、市街地からすぐ近くにある北正面の寺院。北突出部天井の壁画。仏足跡には108の吉祥な文様が描かれている。つま先は寺院内部（南）を向いている。仏足跡の周囲には小さな仏坐像が頭を外側に向けて並び、仏と仏の間には椰子の木が描かれている。その下部には装飾帯があり、逆雫形の内部とその周囲に植物文様が隙間なく描かれている。(JT)

『パガンの仏教壁画』pl.171／拱道天井の仏足跡／ティンガヤーザー寺院の仏足跡■仏足はその外を円で囲まれ、更にその外側に方形の枠があり、仏陀像の羅列になっている。仏陀像は四隅にあるやや大きな4体を除くと一面に7体ずつ計28体あり、過去仏である事を示唆している。仏陀像の両側には2本の線で仕切られた植物文様の帯があり、その外側に更に蓮を象徴した蕾型の植物文様が描かれている。
