Explanation
The Buddha was Jotipāla a great archer. The king promised to appoint him commander in chief but Jotipāla felt a revulsion for the household life, and, departing, became an ascetic. The painters used perspective to give depth to the scenes and plans of different colors to depict different moments. (CMG)
