バガンの内陸部、ミンナントゥー村の北側にあるパヤートンズー寺院の中央祠堂（No.478）主室東壁南側上部の壁画。寺院は北を正面とし、同型の祠堂が3基連なっている。全て触地印坐像で、頭光のように異なる菩提樹が描かれている。(JT)

『パガンの仏教壁画』pl.22／過去仏28仏の成道姿／左手与願印、右手触地印の過去二十八仏■パヤートンズー寺院の壁面上層に描かれているもので、印契、足の組み方、袈裟の着方、肉髻、白毫、耳朶など変るところはまったくない。唯一の違いは、背後の樹木が一仏ずつ異なっている事である。パヤートンズー寺院は、ミンナントゥー村から北へ向う2本の牛車道の内、東側の道路の東脇にある寺院で、四面体のシガーラを載せた同じ大きさの三基の寺院が東西に一直線に並んでいる。外見上独立してみえるこの三基の寺院は、内部が回廊によって繋がっており相互に往き来が可能である。壁画は東端の祠堂と礼拝堂とに最も多く描かれている。画題は他の寺院同様仏伝や本生図だが、四隅には密教系あるいはタントラ系と見られる菩薩像が多数描かれている事で知られる。
