『チベット密教壁画』スピトクpl.8／カーラチャクラ合体尊／守護尊(イダム)のカーラチャクラ(K?lacakra)とその明妃ヴィシュヴァマター(Visvamat?)。主尊は四面(主面は青色、他の三面は赤・白・黄の三色)、二十四臂で、上の八臂(左右四臂ずつ)は白色、次の八臂は赤色、下の八臂は青色で各々異なった持物を持つ。カーラチャクラは無上瑜伽タントラの中でも成立の遅いカーラチャクラタントラ(Kalacakra-tantra)の本尊であり、教義的にも図像学的にもインド密教の最終段階を示す。姿勢や面数はサンヴァラ(Samvara)によく似ているが腕の色や数が相違しているので容易に区別できる。カーラチャクラの教義とその尊像はチベット仏教において特殊な位置を占めている。
