触地印仏坐像／塼仏（ヤンゴン国立博物館）
Explanation
バゴー管区の北西部に位置する古都ピィーの東郊にある遺跡タイェーキッタヤー（シュリークシェートラ）から出土した塼仏。蓮台の左右から象が顔と前足を出し、その上に獅子、さらに上にマカラが描かれている。中央の仏坐像は左手を脚上に置き、宝珠か鉢のようなものを持っている。最下部にピュー文字、ピュー語による刻文があり、一説には「王の中の王」と解釈されている。(JT)

『ビルマの仏塔』pl.66／ピュー時代の磚仏／プローム郊外のタイェーキッタヤー遺跡出土。ピュー時代の磚仏。木の葉形の粘土板に、右手は触地印、左手は上向きに拡げて掌に果物（？）を載せた仏陀坐像が塑像されている。いずれもプローム郊外のピュー族遺跡タイェーキッタヤーから出土。
