『パガンの仏教壁画』pl.215／ポーカラー寺院の内観／天井および天井と壁との境は、葉、茎、花などを象った植物文様や幾何学文様で飾られ、壁面だけが仏伝と本生譚用になっている。煉瓦を積み上げる形式の建造物なので、内部の天井の造りは、勾配の緩急はあるものの、一般にアーチ型または角錐形を成している事が多い。
