『パガンの仏教壁画』pl.219／成道姿の過去28仏／過去仏の成道図■1232号寺院の画である。1232号寺院は、ニャウンウー町からパガンへと通じる道路をアーナンダ寺院の方へと分れた小道の西脇にある。小さな寺院だが、内部にはきわめて鮮明な壁画が残されている。壁面は上下数層に分れ、各層の下にはビルマ語の墨文が記されている。それによると、上層の画は過去二十八仏、中、下層の画は仏伝なかんずく因縁物語である。写真は高見、蓮華、那羅陀、蓮華上の4仏である。パガン時代の過去仏とは異なり、二重瞼で眼も大きい。光背は円光ではなく、挙身光になっている。
